Christina Prado

Christina Prado has loved books from an early age: according to family legend she read them propped up in the end of her pram, reportedly turning pages with her big toe. She went on to study Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Kent before enjoying a career in the arts, including translation (English/French/Spanish). She has worked at Hampstead Theatre, English National Opera, Channel 4 and as Paris correspondent for Plays International.

Christina’s work has been performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, published in The Printer’s Devil and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. She first saw her penmanship published on the walls of Leicester Square underground station, as the copywriter on ENO’s ground-breaking poster campaign The Company We Keep.

She is currently working on That Other Life, a novel about identity and belonging inspired by her father, who was the youngest-ever serving Lieutenant in the Republican Army during the Spanish Civil War.
